I remember buying the actual 1st edition hard copy only to have it arrive destroyed and Amazon doing nothing to make the situation right

You are welcome to this PDF version shovelman and hope it makes up to some extent at least for the poor service from Amazon. For me, selling with Amazon was awful from start to finish and wish I'd never done it.

The more I read through the first edition, the more discontent I became with it, and so 4 years ago decided to rewrite much of it; it will never be perfect but I'm happy with this second edition. However, I couldn't find a publisher and as it's not worth much as a PDF, in the end decided to give it to anyone with interest - it was time to bring this chapter in my life to an end.

I hope people enjoy reading it.
