MERRY CHRISTMAS to all forum members that celebrate!!

This is Yancoal's newest Caterpillar 6060 that recently went into service at their Moolarben operation. Of course, sound attenuation systems are nothing new, but I have never seen the exhaust "treated" in this manner!? Honestly, I like the aesthetic a bit, but fail to understand any practical reasoning why it is elevated like this. I am currently  attempting to determine the manufacturer of the system.
