I was told by some marketing guy from O&K, that only 3 machines have been built. they alwais wanted to sell the one in dortmund, but the machine was too big at the time. so they left it as carrier for spare parts for the other machines.

the development was so expensive, that they sold their office building an leased it back, to save some costs...

that was somehow the beginning of the end of O&K.

But on the other site the RH300 was a milestone for the develpment of hyraulic excavators larger than 500 t, the so called ultra class.
Although the RH300 was an economic catastrophe, this machine meant the beginning of O&K's success of building large excavators for mining.
