Would be really nice to see a comparison betwen Potain MD1000 and 150m Kroll K3000 (on normal base, not portal), of course if you'll have the necessary spare time to draw it!!!

@S46: Very nice sketches for Potain cranes. Also the picture is very interesting, I've never seen it before.
But the the crane in the picture and in your drawing is not the custom-made Potain MD1000 from 1984, but a series MD1000. The crane from Turkey hasn't a double mast system- 5,5x5,5 and 4x4m like the 140m HUH series MD1000, but only a 5,5X5,5m tower. Also the cab is different, this kind of cabs was fitted on later Potains, like MD1400. Anyway, the cranes look great!

@baggerfritz: one 3150HC from your photos is mounted on a special, custom-made base. I suposse the other 3150HC in the remote plan is mounted on concrete foundation, am I right?

Hi!

At least one of them is on a custom-made base. I wasn't able to see the base of the other crane. The reason for the special base is, that they can move the whole crane with SPMTs. They drive under the special crane base and lift it per hydraulic to move.

@S46: Could you post the normal based K3000 alone in a new PDF? I printed the first K3000 (on portal) on paper and it looks fabulous! But the normal based K3000 looks EVEN BETTER!

PS: why the HUH for normal base k3000 is only 144 m, not 150 m, like the height for portal based crane? There is any technical requirement of this kind? The Kroll officials havn't specified any distinction betwen portal base/normal base. bearbeitet 17. März 2011 von djlivus
