Also the picture is very interesting, I've never seen it before. But the the crane in the picture and in your drawing is not the custom-made Potain MD1000 from 1984, but a series MD1000. The crane from Turkey hasn't a double mast system- 5,5x5,5 and 4x4m like the 140m HUH series MD1000, but only a 5,5X5,5m tower. Also the cab is different, this kind of cabs was fitted on later Potains, like MD1400. Anyway, the cranes look great! @baggerfritz: one 3150HC from your photos is mounted on a special, custom-made base. I suposse the other 3150HC in the remote plan is mounted on concrete foundation, am I right?greetings, djlivus bearbeitet 10. März 2011 von djlivus Zitieren

The picture might have been taken at Potain`s testing area at that time. ( with Braud Faucheux`s to be spotted )The cab => you are right, I have inserted the modernized cab, since I have no reliable data of the original ( Peiner - like ? ) one, every attempt to do so, looked ugly, so I aborted this. To draw a Potain is very difficult.I wonder who finds the other mistakes in the drawing, but I won`t tell you. Zitieren

The picture from Potain yard is not wrong, because I have another picture of this crane from a slighty different angle. If in that picture mast is 4x4m, that imply the crane was erected there on a smaller base of 10m gauge, because the mast is too broad for a ratio of 1/4.It seems that the cab also was later replaced with a different one (similar with the one in your drawing): I have 2 pictures of this crane from mr. Pius Meyer, but I always thought is a different crane. Also in Mr. Kessel & Meyer book is depicted the crane from Sivas Kangal with a double tower system, but I also thought there was an error. So, this crane is a series MD1000, not a custom made crane. There is also a Potain MD1000 from 1980 shiped to former Jugoslavien with a hook height 0f 149 m, but that crane is statical. Would be really nice to see a comparison betwen Potain MD1000 and 150m Kroll K3000 (on normal base, not portal), of course if you'll have the necessary spare time to draw it!!! kind regards, djlivus bearbeitet 13.
