Michigan 675

Its good to see the new Michigan site on the web.

Here some back information on the big and beautiful 675.
In the 1970es -1980es it was hard to get catalogs and information from it.
Here part of a letter we god in 1992 from VME.

The model 675 Michigan wheel loader was truly a machine ahead of its time.
The first prototype, built with Detroit Diesel engines, was shipped in 1970.
The second prototype with Cummins engines was shipped in 1973.
All machines thereafter were equipped with Cummins engines.
A total of 18 machines were shipped.
These include the tow prototypes mentioned above, 14 production units, and tow re-manufactured machines.
The re-manufactured machines were made from early models which were brought back to the factory in Benton Harbor Michigan, stripped down to the bare frame, and then totally updated to the latest changes and components.
Those last tow machines were shipped in 1988 and the model was discontinued.
